Anisha Sharma, Second Runners-up, Glamanand Supermodel India believes that being comfortable in your own skin and being confident makes you a good model. And the only definition of perfection is being unapologetically authentic and having a sense of expression. Anisha loves writing poetry and is also passionate about horse riding. The passionate model talks about her success story with TMM.
How and when did modeling happen to you?
As an 18-year-old, I was over the moon when I was selected as a model for Padma Shri Wendell Rodricks. I was still training for pageantry but after doing my first show, offers flooded in and I made the most of every opportunity that came my way.
What makes an individual a ‘good model’?
I believe being comfortable in your own skin and being confident makes a good model. The only definition of perfection is being unapologetically authentic and having a sense of expression.
Share a glimpse of what all went into preparation for Glamanand Supermodel India.
Right from ramp practice to wardrobe arrangements, rehearsing day and night for the talent round, the journey has been nothing short of an enriching adventure. My national costume was made by more than 50+ artisans who’ve burnt the midnight oil to put my vision into reality. All in all, I can say the passage of time at the pageant is going to remain so close to my heart for a lifetime.
For every model being in shape and fit is very important. What is your fitness routine?
I follow a 3×3 routine. Three days of cross-fit/gym and three days of hatha yoga because I feel fitness is not just physical but mental & spiritual as well. Therefore, a balance of yoga and gym keeps me in shape and mentally strong.
One good thing and one bad thing about being a model.
The good thing would be that it has made me a very inclusive person and one bad thing would be that since there’s a lack of schedule, I sometimes don’t get enough time for myself.
Modeling calls for hectic work hours. How do you create a balance between your work and personal life?
Well, I try to stay close to my loved ones. Since I love art and sports, I spend my leisure hours writing poems and horse riding. I have realized the value of leisure activities and the amount of peace they bring to your life. So, I make sure I indulge and feel rejuvenated. They help me perform better as a professional.
When it comes to your beauty regime, one desi nuskha you swear by and why?
It is important to keep the skin hydrated, so I make sure that I drink a lot of water throughout the day. Also, I spray rose water on my facial skin, as it is the best hydrating mist. It refreshes not just my face but instantly uplifts my mood as well. Also, value-added water is so good for the skin, and I make sure to keep it handy while travelling.
What are your future plans in the modeling industry?
I believe in destiny and so I feel I’m ready to explore new opportunities & be with the flow. Also, as a human, I want to give it back to society and thank the universe for bringing it all together to make me achieve my dreams.
