If for a moment I could just close my eyes and travel somewhere very far, I would love to find myself back on the white sandy beach of the Briza Beach Resort, Koh Samui. Yes, the guilty pleasure of being a wanderlust, the traveler that seeks and longs for boundless adventures, the moments of pure bliss. My love for travel has no boundaries, and yes I am in love with the world.
After spending six wonderful days in Thailand at TBEX Asia which you can read in my previous posts, it was time to whisk off to paradise, laying on the beach, drinking cocktails as early as noon and celebrating life. Life indeed is meant to be celebrated and moments like these make you want to count your blessings even more.
The Briza Beach Resort, Koh Samui – welcome!
Thailand is generally spoiled for accommodation choice, and the surrounding islands are no exception. When I was looking through pages of accommodation options during the busy days of summer, I stubbled upon the Briza Beach Resort, Koh Samui with a great offer for a Srivijaya Plunge Pool Villa. Being used to the general price tag of villa accommodation, my expectations for this bargain were kept to the minimum just until our arrival. The value for money was beyond exceptional.
The Briza Beach Resort, Koh Samui is located on the Chaweng, which is Samui’s most famous beach. The hotel is a very short drive from the Airport and very close to the centre of the island where you will find most shops and the Central Festival Shopping Mall. As it was October, it was their rainy season thus there were regular afternoon showers and I did get trapped on the island for an extra day which allowed me to experience another hotel which I will share with you soon. Of course this also led to having to change my flight back to Athens, but hey like if all about adventure isn’t it?!
Our Srivijaya Plunge Pool Villa was a fantastic choice, set on the second floor of a two-storey Thai house the 133 square meter villa featured a spacious bedroom, separate walk-in closet area and a spacious bathroom that featured a separate shower area and bathtub.
The open air living room with a private jet pool was my best hang out place and working environment. There was also complimentary tea and coffee making facilities and a separate bathroom. Believe me, life is good in Koh Samui.
Can I stay here forever please??#amazingthailand #discoverthainess

The breakfast was good and we had a choice of omelette and cold cuts as well as fresh fruit. The happy hour was happy! We enjoyed a couple of great cocktails, just chilling on the beach. The staff was very attentive and my overall impressions were very good. As I said it is no Four Seasons, but it was great.
One evening as it was raining and my friend Tiff decided to have an early night, I headed to the centre which is only like a 10 minute drive. You can get a Tuk Tuk, not the same though as in Bangkok, slightly bigger. I had a meal in one of the restaurants in the Central Festival Shopping Mall, got a few souvenirs and enjoyed a relaxing massage, there are a few choices in the area before calling it a night and returning to the Briza Beach Resort, Koh Samui.
Have you been to Koh Samui? Let me know your stories, and stay tuned for more adventures!
