The C&C Home Tour: Part I

I recently moved into a new home in Beverly Hills, and have been so busy that it took some time for me to fully settle in. I decided to decorate room-by-room to make it seem more manageable. My first priority was the living room, as it’s my favorite room in the house, and the place where not only I spend most of my time when I am home, but where all of my houseguests like to congregate when they come over.

I love the living room because it has so many charming and unique accents that were kept from the original 1930’s buildout. High ceilings with skylights, floor-to-ceiling windows, antique sconces, and elaborate crown moulding makes the room so special.

The room came with pale yellow walls that I actually loved, because yellow happened to be my accent color in my last living room. Because of that commonality, I was able to utilize my old yellow accessories to tie in the wall color.

I wanted to keep most of my furniture from my old home, but also wanted the space to feel fresh. I was able to do so by adding in a few new accent pieces that tied my existing furniture all together. I very happy with the way the room turned out, and I barely had to spend that much money on big new furniture pieces.

I kept my beautiful beige tufted couch and love seat, espresso wood coffee table, and fabric accent chair. I also kept my yellow linen and brown faux fur throw pillows.

The living room is significantly larger than my last one, so I had to find unique ways to fill the space. I utilized existing furniture I had in storage, which was a console table which is perfect for behind the love seat to place accessories on, and a pinkish-beige chaise lounge.

I only ended up having to incorporate a few new pieces into the entire living room. I found this great area rug for under the coffee table from Rugs Usa, which really warms the room up. I moved the bar cart  into the living room to add in some dimension and a place to display my marble geo artwork from OliverGal. I also found a matching dark wooden media console and side table set by InspireQ that was the same exact color of my old coffee table.

I also found chartreuse linen throw pillows for the couch which help tie in the green accents that were coming from the artwork and homemade succulent arrangements.

Everything worked together really nicely, and I am happy with the way things turned out! Stay tuned for more room styling from my new home.
