Rick Riordan, author of the Percy Jackson series has rightly said, “Dyslexic kids are creative and outside-the-box thinkers.” And if you are looking for a living example that can justify these words, you need to meet 20-year-old Gwalior-based Amit Singh Gurjar, a digital content creator, who is also a painter, an actor, and a performer. While the boys of his age often dream of becoming silver screen actors, Amit aims to mark a presence in the world of television and continue entertaining his fans via social media platforms. The new-age creative artist talks about his journey in the world of digital content creation.
THE BEGINNING
As I grew, I realized I am a dyslexic child, but then I took it in my stride, and my creative side over-powered this natural weakness and soon I started excelling in painting, sketching, and even theatre. The turning point in my life came after completing 12th, when I was introduced to Likey App in 2018, and after that things changed forever. The exposure helped me excel in mass communication as my under-graduation degree program and today, I am a confident content creator who has done music videos too and aims to step full-time into the world of acting soon.
FIRST ACT
My first video was for the Likey App in 2018, where I posted a video relating to Raksha Bandhan, and that video made me earn $1000 and after that, I never stopped. In the beginning, I wasn’t sure that this talent can make me earn at a young age and I thought its a fraud. But when I made it and the money was transferred to my account I was on cloud nine and realized that this is what I want to do!
SHOT TO SUCCESS
After the success of my first video, when I posted the second one, it got me attention of celebrities and in no time actor Sunil Grover invited me to Mumbai and made me understand the nuances of theatre and I started taking interest in it. Post pandemic, when I had to return to my home town, 
I decided to enroll at a local theatre and utilize my time in sharpening my acting skills and I must say, it’s been the best decision.
FAMILY MATTERS
When I started, my family could not understand what I was trying to achieve, but then when success and recognition came in, they realized my vision, and slowly they accepted it. Even today, there are days when they doubt my career choices, but when they look at my confidence, they feel satisfied, and somewhere they have the intuition that one day I will achieve my dreams.
TOOL FOR TALENT
When TikTok was banned in India; people thought that it was the end of the career of young content creators. But I always believe that if you have the talent, you will make your ways and like many other creators I did the same and slowly I found my ways and today, I have enough on my plate to choose from and live my dreams.
SUCCESS MANTRA
I always knew that my happiness was in the creative world. I started with painting and sketching and gradually found my love for acting and entertainment and I guess my journey reflects my success mantra- which is about following your heart and doing what makes you happy in and out! Also, it is important to understand that there is no shortcut to success.
FUTURE FILE
I have closely seen the hard work that goes into making television soaps and that excites me the most. In the future, I want to pursue my acting career in the world of television and make the most of it with my dedication. Also, will keep entertaining my fans via social media handles.
