Denise Spirou, EDD — The Greene School
Dr. Denise Spirou, Founding Head of The Greene School (“TGS”), is an accomplished educator and leader. Dr. Spirou co-authored a book on leadership for school administrators, Confronting Today’s Issues: Opportunities and Challenges for School Administrators, and shares her expertise with the educational community as an adjunct professor at Southeastern University.
The Greene School students, parents, and faculty would agree, however, that Dr. Spirou’s true superpower lies in her ability to inspire and connect with those around her. She greets each student by name each morning (and has been known to give piggyback rides to class). Dr. Spirou exemplifies the TGS character trait of “generosity” on a daily basis, and anyone who meets her will quickly understand that she truly is at the very heart of The Greene School.
