“Because when you stop and look around, this life is pretty amazing!” Embracing the words of Dr. Seuss, The Gardens Mall, together with the Ann Jackson Gallery of Atlanta, Georgia, will present “The Art of Dr. Seuss,” January 17-February 14, 2016. This collaborative, museum-quality exhibition features more than 140 compelling pieces of artwork and sculpture for viewing and acquisition, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County. The festivities include special events hosted by The Gardens Mall and its luxury retailers, “Seuss Story Hour” every Thursday at 10 a.m., and excerpts from the award-winning Broadway production of SEUSSICAL by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. The performances will feature choreography by Broadway veteran Brian Andrews, scenic design by Paul Tate dePoo III, Seuss-inspired costume design by Jenna Hoefert, and sound design by Marty Mets. “The Art of Dr. Seuss” exhibition hours will run concurrently with mall hours, Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m., and Sunday, 12 p.m.-6 p.m. Free and open to the public.
The Gardens Mall is located at 3101 PGA Blvd., Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The Mall is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday. For more information, visit thegardensmall.com.
