The Glenlivet Cocktail Capsule Collection Hits the Shores of Singapore

The Glenlivet aficionados amongst you will probably remember that back in 2019 during the London Cocktail Week, the Speyside-based whisky manufacturer launched the ground-breaking Cocktail Capsule Collection. The limited release edible cocktails will now be made available in Singapore starting from 28 February with four different flavours.

Since the initial launch of the innovative sensory experience, The Glenlivet has spent time to adapt and refine the design of the Cocktail Capsule Collection. For this second launch, the capsules are smaller, spherical and has been made in partnership with edible mixology experts, Molecular Experience.

Being at the forefront of art of whisky making, The Glenlivet is constantly looking for avenues to improve its whisky drinking experience and this redesigned capsule collection is a step forward for the brand to appeal to a younger audience. This is definitely a fun and novel way of introducing The Glenlivet to those who are just starting out with whisky tasting.

To consume the capsule, simply pop it against the roof of your mouth. The “shot of cocktail” then coats your palate and for each flavour you will be able to enjoy the mix of notes. Each capsule contains about 7 millilitres of the cocktail and is around 20 per cent ABV — the effects of the alcohol will start to kick in after the second capsule.

“We were truly overwhelmed by the reaction to The Glenlivet Cocktail Capsule Collection and had no idea how ready the world was for this new whisky drinking experience,” said Miriam Eceolaza, Global Marketing Director of The Glenlivet.

“Since the first launch, we’ve seen demand flood in from all over the globe for us to take this exciting innovation one step further. We listened, we learned, and we are excited to introduce the new and improved Cocktail Capsule Collection.”

The four expressions are:

  • Old Fashioned — made with The Glenlivet 12 Year Old
  • Whisky Sour — made with The Glenlivet 12 Year Old
  • Paloma — made with The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve
  • The Last King — made with The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve

To get your hands on this Cocktail Capsule Collection, head over to the Pernod Ricard Official Store online, and it will be available as a gift with every purchase of a bottle of The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve or The Glenlivet 12 Year Old. Each jar contains 12 little capsules and will be of a limited quantity.

If you are interested in attending a masterclass, where you will get to learn more about The Glenlivet and its whiskies, four sessions are conducted at Set of Six on the 18 and 19 of February. Tickets are priced at S$50 and includes 2 samples of The Glenlivet Single Malt, 2 Cocktail Capsules and some food.
