Judging from their recent pregnancy reveal, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky‘s relationship is going swimmingly. I couldn’t help but wonder: does the Bad Gal’s new lingerie collection have something to do with it?
Hot on the heels of Rih’s new Fenty Beauty drop, the star’s lingerie imprint, Savage X Fenty, released a Valentine’s Day collection that flips the script on the holiday and its gendered connotations.
Enter: some very revealing new styles for men.

Comprised of harnesses, mesh crop tops, and skimpy briefs, the range is clearly inspired by fetishwear, as well as styles sold by underwear brands catering to gay men (i.e. Andrew Christian, whose wares are flaunted by the “pit crew” on RuPaul’s Drag Race).

Obviously, anyone of any gender can wear the new offerings — but it’s certainly refreshing to see a brand as big as Savage X Fenty extend the lingerie category to men, who aren’t typically marketed anything but plain jane boxers and briefs.
In fact, Rih’s very simple decision to expand Savage X Fenty to customers of all genders is one of the reasons the brand has, in recent years, overtaken Victoria’s Secret (which, until recently, peddled a very specific version of sexiness, one that seemed to favor thin, white women).
Indicative of Savage X Fenty’s success, the company recently opened its very first brick-and-mortar store in Las Vegas, with more locations to come.
A question: when is A$AP Rocky’s Savage X Fenty campaign coming?
