The Ledbury
It’s not often you get a chance to dine at The Ledbury, but when the opportunity arises make sure you jump right on it. Currently placed at 27th of The World’s 50 Best restaurant list. The Ledbury also has been accredited with two Michelin stars, one from 2006 and the second in 2010. Brett Graham is the man behind the acclaimed restaurant hailed from Australia bagging the Josephine Pignolet award, giving him the opportunity to come to London.
The tasting menu
It was Tom’s birthday and he booked a table for the group months well in advance. He’s a regular at The Ledbury marking this his 10th visit. Service is impeccable, whilst waiting for the rest of the group to arrive. I was seated quickly to the table and given a drinks menu.
If you’re going to a 2 Michelin star place you might as well go all out in style. Although it’s not cheap, it is best to opt for the tasting menu currently costing 6 courses £130 or 8 courses for £150 including service and tax per person. The Ledbury is best described as Modern British, using the best British Produce and plenty of vegetables.

Stand out dishes
Datterini tomatoes with crab meat, shiso and cold sorbet, a fine dish to have before tomatoes go out of season. Warm Bantam’s egg, celeriac, dried crispy ham and truffle. If you like the classic ham and eggs this is a more elegant version. Given to us a bonus dish native lobster, wrapped in shiitake, cauliflower and bonito butter. Wowed, the umami meaty flavour of the shiitake mushroom really stood out.

Brown sugar tart is one The Ledbury iconic dessert dishes. Cut perfectly in a finger with perfect edges served with stem ginger ice cream.
Service from the staff was impeccable throughout the lunch, portions are generous for small plates. The final bill for each person came to £185.
