If you’re an art lover who happen to be in London this May, you’re in luck. The second edition of the Loewe Craft Prize will be exhibited at The Design Museum in Kensington, where 30 shortlisted works will be featured. The show presents artists from across the world – artists as young as 27 and as old as 76 – each utilising a different material. Textile, paper or ceramics, for example. The Loewe Craft Prize is meant to “help modernist craft and make it more accessible”, and according to Loewe’s creative director Jonathan Anderson, “it is about creating objects that have a formula of their own and speak their own language, creating a dialogue that didn’t exist before.” He will be part of a jury who will decide who will win the big prize of 50,000 Euros. We can’t say who will win for sure, but we hope it’s going be one of the following 10.
