The Accordion was first developed in Germany in the early 1800’s, and are a family of musical instruments that are box-shaped and have a bellows-driven free-reed aerophone type. They are sometimes referred to as a squeezebox and range in price, from very affordable to the most expensive accordions in the world.
After more than a century, accordians were popularized in North America by folk singers during the 1950s and 60s and by musical immigrants who arrived from Europe.
