Editor’s Notes: The Clarks Originals Wallabee is a streetwear icon in its own right, transcending generations as a testament to the brand’s lasting cultural relevance – because how many footwear brands can see they have their own Vybz Kartel song?
Likewise, Supreme has risen the ranks to become World Famous as arguably the most relevant streetwear brand of all time. When the two cultural imprints come together, it’s hard for them to miss, and over the years, they have built up an impressive arsenal of collaborative footwear.
At the core of a majority of these collaborations is, of course, the Wallabee. Throughout their partnership history, we’ve seen the classic moccasin style get decked out in paisley and camouflage prints, boldly saturated hues, and old-school two-toned colorings. Despite the heavy contrast these collaborative finishes hold to the Clarks Originals mainline offerings, they’ve continued to prove popular.
The upcoming Fall/Winter 2021 collab, however, has already split the fanbase. This time around, the Wallabbee gets a custom refit, that opens up the traditional suede upper with a striking woven pattern that extends up the toe and sidewall. Bringing the new details to life are four colorways – green, black, pink, and beige – ranging from subtle to bold statements.
