While most cine-goers would connect with the menacing screen presence of superstar RanaDaggubati, but in real life the Bhallaladeva of Baahubali is actually an easy going person who loves to unwind with a glass of bubbly and is the host with the most. TMM caught up with the actor, who recently shot for The Party Starter 3.0 by Chandon, a digital video series that celebrates creative individuals across different streams. Excerpts:
RanaDaggubati, What according to you are the essentials for hosting a great party?
Good food, great company and Chandon!
What makes you a party starter?
I think everyone’s got to be a party starter with regards to the situation and the requirement for that moment. I think I definitely have it in me to get any party started.
When will we see you in a Bollywood next?
I am looking forward to Housefull 4. It’s a big cast and was a big party all the way. It’s a different genre from what I’ve played before and I’m excited for people to watch and have a great time. It was an absolute fun experience working with the mad cast!
In addition to films, will we see you dabble with something else this year?
Right now I am balancing different roles of being an entrepreneur, actor and producer. The tech start-up I work with is called Anthill Studios, which is an accelerator program. It is aimed at supporting start-ups in the media and entertainment sector. Be it augmented reality or virtual reality, our objective is to be part of new storytelling formats.
RanaDaggubati, Tell us about your association with Chandon?
Chandon is an interesting sparkling wine brand. It is something new and I believe defines the new-age, millennial India. It is a fun campaign that speaks about me being the party starter. I feel the campaign presents a fun piece of what I do and what I have done in my career.
