Taking pride of place on The Peninsula Hong Kong’s 28th floor, Felix has long dazzled diners with its creative European cuisine, cutting-edge cocktails and terrific harbour views. Now, under the leadership of Chef de Cuisine Juan Gomez and mixologist Marko Petrovic, the restaurant and bar is reaffirming its status as one of Hong Kong’s most popular dining destinations.
With almost 30 years’ experience at award-winning and Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe, Australia, the Maldives and the Middle East, Gomez has reinvigorated the selection of modern European delights. Highlights of his six-course Felix Experience Menu include Parmesan lollipops, avocado gazpacho, sea bass Provençal with black garlic aioli, and duck magret with puy lentils, kumquat chutney, foie gras and coffee soup.
The menu is capped with an interactive dessert inspired by the in-house feature wall designed by Philippe Starck. Break the Felix Wall, as it’s called, is served with a wooden hammer that diners can use to reveal the whisky chocolate ganache and verbena sorbet hidden behind a chocolate wall.
Mixologist Petrovic’s contributions are equally creative, showcased at the stage-like Long Table Cocktail Bar. The veteran of five-star hotels in Dubai and Qatar creates signature cocktails to pair with Gomez’s tapas menu for what Felix is calling a “Sky High Soirée”.
Petrovic has also created a trio of cocktails to pair with the Felix Experience Menu, including the Kowloon Sour (Plymouth Gin, Dubonnet, beetroot mix and pepper cordial) and the Caballero (Ocho Reposado tequila, Del Maguey Vida mezcal and chocolate bitters). Book your table now and get ready to be dazzled by Felix all over again.
