Dear loves,
as you already know I am a really great soccer fan since my granny used to go with me to the games all the time #grannygoals. Therefore I am super excited to share a special event with you, I attended yesterday. The team of Croatia Full Of Life arranged a whole afternoon with specialities of the Istrian kitchen in cooperation with the FC Bayern Munich, which is trained by the great Croat Nico Kovac. The event took place during the soccer game from FC Bayern Munich against BSC Hertha of Berlin at the famous Allianz Arena and I can tell you: this was definitely lunch with a great view! As always I can`t get enough yummy in my tummy so I was super exited that famous Bavarian chef Alfons Schuhbeck prepared some super delicious recipes from the Istrian kitchen.
First, we had handmade pasta with truffles. The region of Istria is known for many delicious specialities, which we could try. One of these are the truffles around the city of Motovun. I think we all love creamy soft truffle pasta.
Our second course has been this special on point beef filet. I don’t eat meat everyday, but can´t say no if it is so perfectly prepared like this one …
As you all know I am more into sweets . So I was more then exited about the dessert! If I could I would always eat it first! The typical istrian pralines are made of the famous Istrian olive oil. Sounds weird but tastes so so good.
By the way, yeah we won the match, which has been the perfect finish of this lovely afternoon with lots of inspiring and interesting people from Croatia. Beneath all the athletes and officials, I met Anica Kovac, the First Runner-up in the Miss World competition. I mean she is WOW!
