A rugged volcanic landscape, beautiful beaches and a delicious cuisine – Madeira is a dream come true for every travel bloggers heart and that is why I was so happy that we got the chance to see it! I have to be honest: it was not on my bucket list before but now after I visited this island it is on my “I have to come back list” and this is even a bigger reward!
As you know, the right accommodation has the power to make your stay even more perfect. Beautiful in every way, the Savoy Palace is the ideal hotel if you enjoy a luxurious accommodation where you can relax, eat wonderful local and international meals at their own restaurants.
If you book a suite, you do not only benefit from a terrace with a wonderful ocean and city view and the exquisite decoration which is inspired by the island of Madeira itself, but you get a wonderful premium experience package. Upon arrival you can find a complimentary welcome cocktail in your suite which you can enjoy on your terrace right away. How beautiful was our view?
Furthermore, you get an exclusive access to the Jacarandá Lounge & Club where you can relax while having a snack from the buffet, drink a cocktail at the cocktail bar, discover the jacuzzi and dip into the wonderful infinity pool. Also the breakfast menu is beyond at the VIP lounge. We had gluten-free pancakes, waffles, fresh fruits, eggs benedict, bana bread, avocado bread and about 8 different smoothies, just to mention some dishes!
With the premium experience you also get a complimentary access to the Laurea Spa wet area which will help you to recharge your batteries and relax to the fullest. The Spa offers a sauna, a steam room, an ice fountain to cool off and sensorial showers. If you desire a beauty treatment you can get one at the beauty salon or the Champagne & Nails Bar. Yes, we love this combo, right!
Moreover, a relaxation room, a halotherapy room and a heated indoor pool will help you to feel renewed. You want to get a bit active as well? No problem, with the premium experience you get free gym access so you can work out. After a great work out you can relax again at the Galáxia Skypool. The rooftop infinity pool offers an unbelievable view! The access is included in your package in which you can also find more amenities such as the (à la carte) breakfast, a selection of international and national magazines and newspapers (even from Germany) to keep you up to date, a mini-bar, in-suite delights and two selected beverages with taste bud teasers on a daily basis. If you have to make a call internationally, your premium package includes unlimited phone calls (landline and mobile) to Canada, the US and Portugal but also landline calls within the European Community including Switzerland, Brazil and Norway.
After a day full of relaxation, you can dine at the hotel’s own restaurants.
The Alameda Restaurant offers a mix of Mediterranean and Atlantic cuisine where you find influences of Latin tables and tropical flavors. The restaurant, which is located on a terrace by the hotels pool, includes a pizza oven and bar where you will be surprised by delicious cocktails.
If you desire grilled dishes you will also find great coal fired grilled dishes on the menu. The Galáxia Skyfood restaurant on the other hand is located above the palace and offers a stunning ocean view. Fans of international cuisine will find many delicious options to choose from.
All in all the Savoy Palace offers the perfect 360° luxurious relaxation experience and I am super thankful for our lovely stay!
