Vegans and omnivores alike can enjoy the benefits of mindful eating at the country’s premier plant-based festival, Seed Food & Wine Week Miami, from Thursday November, 7 to Sunday November, 10. Back in our neighboring city in the south for its sixth year, Seed will unite the nation’s top health-conscious speakers, chefs, celebrities, athletes, and authors for a weekend of food and cocktails that is just as informative as it is delicious. Event goers will sample haute vegan cuisine, take fitness classes, and educate themselves on various wellness topics.
Signature events include the Plant-Based Burger Battle, exclusive dinners with celebrity chefs, the Festival Day Tasting Village—a large-scale tasting featuring food, wine, juice, music, gifts, organic body care, and clothing, and the VegNews Seed Summit—where a bevy of chefs, authors, bloggers, and media personalities will present seminars and demonstrations on leading a plant-based lifestyle, clean living, and the wellness industry.
Joy Bauer, Today show nutritional expert, author and researcher Dr. Neal Barnard, and supermodel Karolina Kurkova comprise some of the star talent that will participate in the festival this year. Local wellness expert Jules Aron, who has garnered national acclaim for her books Zen & Tonic, Vegan Cheese, Nourish & Glow, and Fresh & Pure, will also return for the third time. Known as “The Wellness Mixologist,” she will serve as the festival’s mixology director and curate the cocktail program for the entire week’s events.
“I am incredibly honored to be a part of such a passionate community elevating the conversation around plant-based foods, sustainability and conscious living,” Aron says. “These are all matters I am extremely passionate about. I have tremendous respect for SEED founders, Michelle Gaber and Allison Burgos. It’s been a true pleasure to see the festival and the summit grow from year to year.”
Attendees can expect everything but the typical grilled tofu and kombucha meal. With events like the Taco Tailgate Party featuring vegan bites from Coyo Taco and Parlour Vegan Bakery and the Blissful Brunch with “omelet” stations and an epic Bloody Mary bar, Seed proves that you can eat, drink, and live well by following a plant-based lifestyle.
