Summer’s over and the social season is officially in full swing – which means that the there’s not a moment to sacrifice to the down time needed after surgical procedures like face lifts. Luckily, The Ritz-Carlton Spa at The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong has just launched a trio of facial treatments utilising non-invasive CACI technology, which uses microcurrent therapy to reverse the ravages of time and gravity.
The treatments work in tandem with products from British brand 111Skin, and have been specially designed by the line’s founder, plastic surgeon Yannis Alexandrides, who is known for having worked with Russian cosmonauts on skin-saving technologies (because going to space is dry, man – and just because you’re out of this world doesn’t mean you don’t want to look good).
The Youth Regenerating Facial is the 60-minute starter pack: the microcurrent impulses are applied around the face and to the neck, stimulating production of collagen and elastin, while deleting fine lines and wrinkles.
If you have an extra 15 minutes to spare, the 75-minute Revive and Reshape specifically targets common problem areas such as the jawline and eyes. Reversing saggy jowls is a priority in this treatment, as well as contouring the entire face so that everything is firm and lifted. Since lines around the eyes are a most telltale sign of ageing, a microcurrent roller can reduce puffiness and wrinkles – and even lift hooded eyelids. Afterwards, a nourishing facial pumps moisture into the dermis, relieving any irritation from the procedure.
The Ultimate Turnaround is as ultimate as it sounds – an ultrasonic peeling process deep-cleans and wakes up skin, then a special “wrinkle comb” is applied, which triggers the a healing response in the body that repairs tissue. The same microcurrent therapy as in Revive and Reshape is performed jowl and eye, instead followed by a microcurrent facial to firm and tone overall. A final face massage revs up circulation and kickstarts the lymphatic drainage process, so you’ll hop out of bed to a brand new – and younger – you.
Single treatments are sufficient to see differences, but those who wish to see cumulative benefits can indulge in a 10-course package – if you buy now, the spa is offering to throw in two extra sessions for free, as well.
