‘The Voice’ Star RaeLynn Feels ‘Blessed’ By Relationship With Coach Adam Levine

Country singer RaeLynn (real name Racheal Lynn Woodward) feels “genuinely so blessed” by her experience on The Voice and her relationship with former coach Adam Levine, she exclusively dished to Life & Style. “I love that The Voice family really does stay together, and they do stay connected,” she added.

The “Bra Off” artist competed on season 2 of the reality show when she was just 17 and made it to the quarterfinals before getting eliminated.  Although she was on Blake Shelton’s team, she’s received love and support from all the stars who sat in the iconic swivel chairs.

The “God Made Girls” artist, 25, recalled a recent time she received support from the Maroon 5 singer, 41, after sharing a video of herself singing “Payphone” on Instagram. “I totally forgot that Adam still follows me on Instagram after The Voice … He messaged me and was like, ‘I love following you. I hope you and your husband are well. You’re such a ray of light. And, I hope, you know, you’re getting through these crazy times,’” the RaeLynn explained ahead of her performance during Crown Royal’s #GenerosityHour on April 24 where the whiskey brand donated $400,000 to continue helping the USBG Bartender Emergency Assistance Fund. “Even though we don’t talk all the time, [the coaches] know what’s going on with all of us, and I just thought that was really cool of [Adam].”

The “Keep Up” artist is exploding with new hits and even revealed she’s written “six or seven songs” while quarantining amid the coronavirus pandemic. However, she credits the singing competition show for helping her find her “confidence” when she was getting started. “Before The Voice, I didn’t know that I had a different voice. The instrument that I had was different. So, when I was on the show, everybody on the show told me, ‘No, your voice is unique,’” the songstress said. “When you only hear yourself sing, you don’t know that it can be unique … I know the biggest thing that I took away from that show [was] hearing from amazing people in the industry that I had a voice that should be heard, and I had a voice that was unique enough to cut through.”

Nearly 10 years later, RaeLynn is still sparkling on the country music charts. “That’s helped me make it this far and keep trekking along because when you hear me, I don’t sound like anybody else,” she added. “But, I didn’t know that before that show.”

We can’t wait to see what’s next for her!
