The World through the Eyes of Architecture Photographer Edmon Leong

We first met architecture photographer Edmon Leong when he was but a fledgling lensman, who spent many a day shooting fashion, food and portraits for the pages of Prestige Hong Kong. Those days are long behind him. A chance referral to interiors wunderkind Joyce Wang allowed him to photograph an office-renovation project the designer was working on, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Nowadays, the former computer programmer has barely a moment to spend in his home of Hong Kong – you’re more likely to find him on a plane, or on site at newly minted global architectural landmarks. His client list is long, and getting longer as we speak, having shot for the likes of Zaha Hadid Architects, UNStudio, Wilkinson Eyre, MAD Architects, Studio Fuksas and Aedas, as well as projects for the International Olympics Committee, Hermès, Louis Vuitton and Lane Crawford.

Here, we asked him to share a gallery of five of the most stunning projects he photographed in the last 12 months: Chaoyang Park Plaza Beijing by MAD Architects, JW Marriott Phu Quoc Vietnam by Bill Bensley, MAAT Lisbon by Amanda Levete, MahaNakhon Bangkok by Ole Scheeren and The Louvre Abu Dhabi by Jean Nouvel.
