From Kanye West and Drake to George Clooney and Russell Crowe, not all of Hollywood’s biggest stars have always gotten along peacefully.
The Yeezy designer had plenty of celebrity feuds with the likes of Taylor Swift, Jimmy Kimmel and Justin Timberlake over the years, however, his battle with the Degrassi alum came as a shock to many devoted fans after the duo previously collaborated. The rappers’ prior bond quickly deteriorated by 2018 after the “Heartless” musician produced Pusha-T’s “Infrared,” single with a notable dig at the Canada native.
“Then, the first album drops,” Drake recalled during an interview on HBO’s The Shop in October 2018. “And, of course, there’s a diss song toward me that you produced, that’s talking about writing? I was just there with you as friends helping you, and now you’re dissing me. So I’m like, man, this is dark.”
Since then, the pair continued snubbing one another via social media and in their songs, most recently on their respective Donda and Certified Lover Boy tracks.
Rappers are not the only ones who’ve gotten into feuds. After Vin Diesel and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson first worked together in 2011’s Fast Five, they’ve held onto deep grudges about their Fast & Furious costar.
Colleague Michelle Rodriguez corroborated the narrative that the pair had tension, telling Us Weekly in February 2019: “Boys will be boys. And you know what? There’s always some sort of conflict when tribes meet and they get bigger. I think that’s the world, that’s globalization. We’re seeing it right now with nationalism, all over the planet. So I’m not surprised that the tribe back home is arguing too!”
Following years of back-and-forth drama, the Pacifier star publicly reached out to the Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle actor to return to the action movie franchise.
“My little brother Dwayne… the time has come,” Diesel wrote via Instagram in November 2021. “The world awaits the finale of Fast 10. As you know, my children refer to you as Uncle Dwayne in my house. There is not a holiday that goes by that they and you don’t send well wishes… but the time has come. Legacy awaits.”
Additionally, Cardi B and Nicki Minaj nearly came to blows after attending a New York City party in September 2018, sparking an “all-out brawl.”
Us Weekly confirmed at the time that the Hustlers actress was “shouting” on the red carpet while the Trinidad native “stood there and was cool,” per an eyewitness.
“Cardi was throwing punches, trying to get at Nicki and then threw her shoe at Nicki,” the insider recalled at the time.
The New York native later shared a statement via Instagram, alleging that there were comments made regarding her capability as a mother to daughter Kulture, whom she shares with husband Offset.
Minaj, for her part, opened up about the incident during an appearance on Queen Radio, claiming, “I would never talk about anyone’s child or parenting. It’s so crazy to me that people always need to make [me] the bad guy. When you have to say that I said or did something that I never said or did … I am not a clown. That’s clown s—t.”
