After recently debuting its Fall/Winter 2022 collection, Prada continues to make waves with its latest campaign starring Tom Holland. The campaign sees the Spiderman: No Way Home star photographed against colourful backgrounds.
Prada has had a strong history of tapping into movie stars for its campaigns. Its latest Fall/Winter 2022 runway show saw the likes of an opening by Kyle MacLachlan, Sex Education’s Asa Butterfield, and Jeff Goldblum closing the show.
Following the “In the Mood for Prada” seasonal campaign theme, Holland is seen striking poses intended to highlight the relationship between the body and the garments — adjusting his spring reddish leather biker jacket or bending his arms in a Prada ivory shirt with nautical themes.
Prada explains that the campaign aims to “re-contextualise a figure world-renown for his action hero roles… Holland here becomes an embodiment of today’s Prada man.”
The brand continues to say that the power of acting is to draw on various personal experiences to convey a mood or emotion and feel it, despite being fiction, and capitalising on the actor’s own humanity. The campaign’s images capture minuscule actions and reactions, and the rapport between clothes and bodies.

Another luxury fashion brand making waves in the industry is Balenciaga, joining forces with Yeezy to create Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga. The collection brings together the world-famous rapper and creative and the hottest high fashion brand in the world right now. The first Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga drop is expected in June, with a second later in the year.
