The event held at the top of the St. Regis Kuala Lumpur Hotel, where the rooftop pool area had been transformed into a glamorous oasis in the heart of the metropolitan city.
At the event, Amelia Sillard, Vice-President TAG Heuer, South-East Asia welcomed Bella and guests by saying : “We are honoured to be hosting Bella Hadid for the first time in South-East Asia. 3. Hedi Slimane Debuted the Menswear Campaign film for Celine
Celine just announced that the house would be joining the Paris men’s show schedule. In less than a week after, Hedi Slimane unveiled his first menswear campaign film for the brand on November 27.
It was a three-minute long campaign film in black and white. Slimane started with the portraits of men in Slimane’s ultra-slim suiting. The tailoring of the suits is meant for unisex use. This gender-specific campaign stated the fact that LVMH, Celine’s parent company, is currently chasing the burgeoning of the menswear market.
The campaign is shot by the designer himself and it will certainly keep up the excitement although it might not show any new insight into Slimane’s vision as Celine’s designer.
4. Amber Heard Wore a Couture Swim Cap to the Aquaman London Premiere
The London premiere of Aquaman held in Leicester Square on November 26. Amber Heard who plays underwater Queen Mera on the movie, successfully gets all the attention from the first time she arrived at the bright blue carpet.
Heard stepped out in a Valentino Haute Couture gown from Pierpaolo Piccioli and paired with Brian Atwood platform heels. The dress is in sea-green with swirling silver and gold embroidery. To top all of it, Heard wore a couture headpiece that looks like swim cap which was the exact look from the couture runway in Paris back in July. She completed her look with a single bejewelled earring and gold neck chain.
5. The Only “Woman” Who Appeared in Dior Homme’s pre-fall 2019 Menswear Show
On November 29, Dior held its pre-fall 2019 menswear show in Tokyo. Christian Dior seemed like fascinated with Japan. Back in 1953, the house had its first couture show there. The designer Kim Jones was following his predecessor by held his second show in Tokyo. The show was also the first time the house has ever held a men’s pre-collection show.
There was someone who outshined the supermodel Bella Hadid and Kate Moss. Turned out it was a 39-foot-tall fembot constructed by the Japanese artist Hajime Soraya. This fembot was the only “woman” who appear on the runway that night.
The fembot was stand in the center of the runway. As the brand put it on Instagram, the hourglass figure “represents an idealized female figure in robotic form, a futuristic monolith echoing Monsieur Dior’s constant celebration of the female form divine.”
6. Emily Blunt Looks Like a Fairytale for the Mary Poppins Return Premiere
Emily Blunt stepped out onto the red carpet for her latest movie Mary Poppins Return premiere on November 29. On the arm of her husband John Krasinski, Blunt looked delightful wearing a Yanina Couture dress.
With voluminous sleeves, a deep V-neckline, and sheer tulle lengths that fell to the floor, the dress was the perfect representation of the fairy tale franchise. Blunt completed her extravagant look with a loose updo and Stephen Webster earrings. She looked like Disney princess who just jumped out from the fairytale.
On the movie, Blunt plays Mary Poppins, the titular magical nanny from Disney classic. Her husband was really excited about her playing the role. Previously, when Krasinski appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, he told Ellen that he was brought to tears seeing his wife as the title character for the first time!
7. Beyoncé Pays Tribute to Nelson Mandela, wearing a custom-made Balmain
The queen B never fails to awe us. On December 2, Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z made a tribute to Nelson Mandela at The Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100. The annual festival held a special event in honour of Mandela’s 100th birthday at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa, home to Mandela.
On the festival, the singer couple performed “APESH*T” and Beyoncé looked stunning than ever in this performance. She wore a Balmain costume-made look designed by Olivier Rousteing. The looks were in full black and white with a full of ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics symbol top and short. The long sleeves top is accessorised with black and white feathers that looked like wings. The look completed with black, high knee boots.
The couple performed four songs in total. They started with “Holy Grail” that was originally sung by Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake. After that, Beyoncé spoke about the reason why the couple celebrates Global Citizen and Mandela. “Everything is love,” she says. The duo continued to perform their joint song “Part II (On The Run)” and “03 Bonnie&Clyde”. Lastly, they performed “APESH*T” and maybe this was the best part of their performance at the festival.
