You can enjoy the panoramic views of Oslo from the top of the Holmenkollen ski jump , visit the Royal Palace , have a fjord cruise and do not absolutely forget to visit the Oslo’s Opera House. The Opera House is located right at the harbour, with an angled, white exterior that appears to rise from the water. It invites its visitors to climb its roof and enjoy panoramic views of Oslo and its fjord, all around.

With over 50 bus routes and 6 tram lines, despite it is relatively small, the city is really well connected. Ticket prices start from around 30 NOK (3 € roughly) if bought in advance and 50 NOK (5€ roughly) if purchased on the day of the trip. Discovering the city by bike is also possible, with bike lanes and traffic lights for cyclists, Oslo is fairly bike-friendly, but be careful with the ice on the way. For a rather romantic dinner and a full immersion in the Norway traditions, I recommend the Engebret Café : located in a charming building from the 1700s, Café Engebret opened its doors for the first time in 1857, and is an institution in Oslo’s oldest restaurant area.
