No matter what happens between Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner in the future, he will always be grateful to her for giving him daughter Stormi Webster. The 28-year-old rapper couldn’t help but gush about his little girl in his new interview with GQ Germany on October 10, and he says that despite all of the No. 1 hits and awards, being her dad is the “most impressive thing that’s ever happened to him.”
“Stormi is like a battery, which has given me tremendous energy,” said Travis in the interview, which we have translated from German. “[She] showed me so many things that I did not [get before]. Many things in life I only noticed when my daughter was born. [Fatherhood] is the most impressive thing that ever happened to me. Really.”
Travis admitted that his whole outlook has changed since becoming a dad, and it’s brought light into every area of his life. “Watching your own daughter grow older every day is the most magical experience in the world,” he continued, “and I’ve gained a lot of passion for other areas of my life as well — I was hardly able to get excited in the past.”
Unfortunately, it seems as though his and Kylie’s excitement toward each other has waned. On October 1, In Touch confirmed that the parents were “taking a break“ from their relationship. However, friends and family expect it to be temporary, especially because of the love Travis has for Stormi.
“They love Stormi, so don’t expect Travis to be gone for long,” said a source close to the couple. “He cherishes that little girl, nothing can keep him away from her.” Kylie herself confirmed that they have Stormi’s best interest at heart one day later on October 2. The makeup mogul took to Twitter wish an important message to fans about coparenting. “Travis and I are on great terms and our main focus right now is Stormi” she wrote. “Our friendship and our daughter is priority.” We’re sure that will never change! We have high hopes for a future reunion, but at least Travis is being the best dad he can in the meantime.
