If you just watched Trisha Paytas “marry” a cardboard cutout of Brad Pitt and think you need counseling now, you’re not alone. The YouTuber, 31, wed the studly packaging material in a candlelit ceremony that she, of course, shared to her YouTube channel on Tuesday, November 5.
Dressed in a white mini skirt and feathered crop top, Trisha walked down the aisle to meet her groom. The man of few words appeared to have an aid to help with the exchanging of rings and candle lighting ceremony. “Oh my goodness. I can’t believe that I’m here and getting married. This is so exciting,” Trisha said as she got teary-eyed saying her vows. “I never thought I would find someone who wouldn’t leave me and talk back to me and judge me for being crazy,” adding, “From the moment I got you in the mail, I knew that this was going to last forever.”
Cardboard Brad remained stone-faced, and we assume he was too emotional to exchange his part of the vows. As the two said “I do,” Trisha leaned in for a smooth — and yes, with tongue.
Fans took to the comments to praise the YouTuber for her odd, yet comedic genius. “Viewers: Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau’s wedding was the fakest wedding I’ve ever seen.’ Trisha: ‘Hold my sex toys,’” one user joked while another commented, “ [Nine] months later: ‘This is our son, Flat Stanley.’”
Although many found humor in the video not everyone was pleased and found it a little disturbing. “This is actually embarrassing. She’s hit a desperation level I can’t even fathom,” read one comment. Another user stated, “She seriously needs to be put away in a mental hospital.”
Trisha teased fans in the days leading up to her nuptials sharing that she would be getting married in Las Vegas but kept the groom’s identity under wraps. As Trisha never indicated that she was seeing anyone, she left us scratching our heads and wondering if she was pulling a Miranda Lambert. She took to Instagram to post some pics of her bridal glam writing, “Also I’m a bride or whatever today I’m most excited for the cake, .”
Needless to say, the YouTube star bamboozled us again. Wishing Trisha and “Brad” a lifetime of happiness with few paper cuts and a lot of drive-thru.
