Tudor Black Bay Chronograph Sweeps GPHG “Petite Aiguille” Prize

Tudor’s Black Bay Chronograph just won its second consecutive “Petite Aiguille” Prize at the 2017 edition of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix). The inaugural watchmaking ceremony was established in 2001 to celebrate technical innovation and horological complications across several categories including men’s, women’s and sports watches.

The vintage inspired Tudor Black Bay Chronograph was first spotted at this year’s Baselworld, offering an amalgamation of some of vintage Tudor’s best. Aesthetically, the watch retains its snowflake hands, a Tudor signature, with an engraved tachymetric scale to finish. A stunning new movement topped the new reveal – a brand new MT5813 calibre, made in collaboration with Breitling, is a high-performance chronograph movement equipped with a 70-hour power reserve.

The recent award marks Tudor’s fourth in five participating years, since its “Revival” Prize in 2013 for its Heritage Black Bay model.
