I briefly touched upon my love for Koya in 2011, a few months ago my niece and her boyfriend came to London Town to visit me. Soho has become food mecca, spoilt for choices, endless different cuisines. I decided to take my guests to Koya for dinner. As always the queues form to the end of the street, but lucky for us we didn’t had to wait long to get inside.
The udon noodles still remains the exact some taste from years ago, soup broth, so transparent almost as the same density as water and fully bodied with flavour. This time round I went for the duck, meat was a gorgeous tender texture and went well with the fresh udon.
My guest went for tempura, plum wine, cold udon, thoroughly enjoying slurping away at their bowls of goodness.
