Urban Decay Mariposa Eyeshadow Palette.

You may remember that last month I held a Christmas Giveaway, and the giveaway included the Urban Decay Mariposa Palette. Well, it's one of my favourite eyeshadow palettes, so I thought it was about time I did a review on it!

I've been trying to use as many natural make-up and skincare products as possible lately because of my allergies and eczema, but on a night out I always find myself succumbing to my old ways and using my old 'normal' products. I just make sure I lather my eyes in Dr Organic Manuka Honey cream afterwards to stop the eczema returning :P

Anyway, this palette is one of the most gorgeous eyeshadow palettes I have ever used. The colours are so versatile and the pigmentation is amazing. The shadows blend smoothly and I have never experienced any fall-out when using them. The colours are ideal for both day and night, and I've created all sorts of looks from them, from natural to smokey eye and everything in between!

The Urban Decay Mariposa palette has ten shades of eyeshadows, including; Rockstar, Gunmetal, Skimp, Infamous, Wreckage, Haight, Money, Mushroom. Spotlight, and Limelight. Most of them are shimmery, but there are a couple of Matte ones in there too. They come in a really pretty tin box that I find quite light and easy to carry around in my bag. As usual the brush that comes with it isn't that great, so I use my beloved eco-tools ones instead.

I think a lot of people tend to stick to the popular Naked and Naked 2 Urban Decay palettes, and forget how gorgeous many of the other ones are. This is definitely my favourite out of all of them, and although I've fallen in love with the natural Inika eyeshadows, I still find myself using this palette every now and then :)

The Mariposa Urban Decay Eyeshadow Palette is available from Debenhams for £28, which is a great price when you basically get ten eyeshadows!
