Established in 1906, Parisian jeweller Van Cleef & Arpels will be holding an exhibition in Singapore between 12 to 20 February at Sands Expo, Marina Bay Sands. The showcase will feature the inspirations behind some of the Maison’s emblematic creations. Titled “A Journey Through the Poetry of Time”, the exhibition celebrates the four pillars that inform the ethereal and whimsical world of Van Cleef & Arpels.
The four major themes that have shaped the heritage brand are: love stories, fairies and ballerinas, Poetic Astronomy and Enchanting Nature. Set in a dreamlike recreating of the streets in Paris, visitors can explore and learn more about these inspirations in the themed galleries.
While the inspirations behind the iconic pieces from the brand is testament to the brand’s superb storytelling ability, the exhibition also wants to showcase its savoir faire. It aims to demonstrate the intricacies of enamelling and other watchmaking processes. Visitors will get to catch a glimpse of the house’s latest contemporary pieces and other timeless timepieces such as the Pont des Amoureux collection and the Lady Arpels Ballerines Musicales watches.
Perfectly timed during the season of love, the exhibition makes the perfect pitstop during Valentine’s Day this year. Not only will you and your partner get to immerse yourselves into the magical world of Van Cleef & Arpels, the experience will definitely be a memorable one for all.
Also conducted concurrently with the exhibition is a series of workshop for children aged four to ten years old. Each child will be given a welcome art kit that allows them to create their very own 3D model of Paris with the foldable paper provided — a perfect opportunity for the children to unleash their creativity.
