She needs a moment. Vanderpump Rules star Stassi Schroeder finally broke her silence on her alleged feud with BFF and costar Kristen Doute — and confirmed she is, in fact, “taking a break” from the 36-year-old’s companionship.
“If taking a break from someone is a bitch move and makes me nasty, then I don’t give a f—k,” the 31-year-old dished on her podcast, “Straight Up With Stassi,” on October 11. “It doesn’t mean I don’t care about her. I absolutely do.”
But despite the things she left unclear about the situation, the blonde beauty definitely made one thing crystal: “Sometimes you just can’t be in the same room with someone without wanting to kill them.”
In fact, it hasn’t even been the easiest decision for Stassi, but it is one she feels she had to make. “I’m like, ‘Am I gonna look like the a—hole in this situation or is she?’ I have no idea,” she continued. “I’m prepared to look like the a—hole, but whatever it is, I’m like, ‘Listen, I have to take care of my own mental and emotional health first.’”
The rumors of a potential end to the enduring friendship started making waves back in July, when Kristen was noticeably absent from Stassi’s big engagement celebration after taking the next step with her boyfriend, Beau Clark.
Believe it or not, the former SURver’s mom, Dayna Schroeder, replied to a questioning fan about Kristen’s absence days after the bash. “Dayna, were you sad Kristen wasn’t there?” the follower wrote. “I know you two are close!”
“Yes, quite sad. But I didn’t really know all the particulars. So, I was out of the loop for a while. Don’t you worry, it’s like Lion King and the circle of life,” the Bravo TV mama explained. “Each one of these girls will grow, change and come back to their original strong friendship bond that they’ve always had. Somethings just take time.”
Stassi and other BFF Katie Maloney-Schwartz also skipped Kristen’s James Mae event in August, so fans have been wondering what the deal is for quite a while now. Let’s just hope this crew can mend itself soon.
