It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for: We’re about to find out what went down between Kristen Doute and Stassi Schroeder. The Vanderpump Rules starlets gave a small taste of what’s been a months-long feud during the first episode of season 8 of the Bravo TV hit, which premiered on January 7.
Within the first ten minutes of the new season, the 32-year-old was already talking to restaurant owner and mother figure Lisa Vanderpump about her issues with Kristen, 36. “I’ve been really frustrated because, the way she speaks, it’s like, ‘Katie and Stassi are horrible friends, they don’t support me in my relationship,’ or ‘they haven’t checked in on me,'” the blonde beauty told the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star. “And I feel like she’s been telling everyone that she’s broken up with her boyfriend but in the same breath said ‘we still live together, have sex with each other and hang out every day.’ And I just feel like she’s lying to me.”
In her confessional clip, Stassie was even blunter. “Kristen and I have had our fair share of ups and downs but this feels different,” she revealed before the show cut to a clip from three months prior, during last season’s reunion taping. “I sit at home alone and I f—king cry and I’m scared to f—king call you because you guys are annoyed by me,” the brunette babe yelled at her friends from the other side of the room before her second former BFF Katie Maloney-Schwartz exclaimed, “Kristen, come on!”
“Your type of love doesn’t f—king work for me,” Kristen spat, while Katie, 32, added, “Anyone is gonna lose their f—king patience when their best friend comes to them saying ‘I am not happy!'”
Finally, Stassi gave her mission statement when it comes to her once-strong friendship with the James Mae founder. “I don’t know that the person I’m hopefully growing into can be friends with the person who’s not growing at all,” she said bluntly in a second confessional clip. “I’m not gonna play that game, I’m not gonna dance that dance,” she told LVP before they parted ways.
Back in November, Stassi spoke with Life & Style exclusively about the falling out — and said it was a long time coming at that point. “It’s not just one thing that brought us to this place. It was just a series of years of things,” she dished at BravoCon. “We kind of just felt like, ‘OK, we need a break and that’s it.’ And we love her still and care about her, but it’s just break time.”
She even hinted at the fact that Kristen possibly wouldn’t attend her upcoming Italian wedding to fiancé Beau Clark … but recently, it seems that she may have softened to the idea a bit. “Deep down, I’m hoping that things get better and I’d like her to be there. But if we can’t get along every time we’re around each other then it’s a decision I’m going to have to think about it,” Stassi recently told E’s Daily Pop. “We shall see how this year goes. It’s been really sad, and obviously, that’s a big part of season 8.”
Looks like we’ll have to keep watching!
