Dr. Vartan Mardirossian is double board-certified in facial plastic surgery and head and neck surgery, and is an assistant professor of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and otolaryngology at Florida Atlantic University. He is a consultant of facial plastic and head and neck surgery at Jupiter Medical Center.
Mardirossian received his medical degree from the University of Padua, Italy. He completed his residency in head and neck surgery in Padua and moved to Boston, where he performed award-winning research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. He completed his residency in head and neck surgery and a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at Boston University.
During the Boston Marathon bombing, Mardirossian was part of the team of surgeons who took care of the victims. He was awarded a certificate of appreciation from the City of Boston for his service during the tragedy.
Mardirossian devotes his practice to facial plastic surgery and skin cancer reconstruction. He’s an expert in both the simplest office procedures and some of the most complex cranial reconstructions done today.
