These come on top of 12 hand-picked caterers providing a continuous supply of mouthwatering hot foods from across the globe throughout the event, ensuring that even the most ardent meat- and dairy-lovers will have a field day stuffing themselves on a plant-based diet. ‘Vegetarian foods have truly come a long way ever since the days of having to make soya milk out of tasteless vegetable protein powder in the ’80s,’ say the organisers VegfestUK. ‘Thanks to innovative chefs like Chad Sarno and vegan meat pioneers such as Redwood and Fry’s, plant-based cuisines are capturing worldwide attention nowadays, with a plethora of plant-based meat, milk and cheese alternatives available on supermarket shelves. Ever since the horseburgers’ scandal earlier in the year, there has been an unprecendented rise in demand for healthier meat-free food options and tips on ditching processed meat products, and shows like ours are perfect for individuals and food businesses looking to tap into this shift in paradigm and showcase their products and services to the veggie-hungry UK population.’

This exciting show takes place on October 5th 6th, 11am-7pm both days, at the world-class venue of Kensington Olympia (West Halls). Besides spoiling themselves with food, visitors will find plenty of advice on healthy eating from the talks and films on show. And those looking for a fun day out can expect loads of entertainment in the performance section, with comedians Dave Spikey, Jamie Kilstein, Andrew O’Neill and Lucy Porter certain to induce endless laughs, escapologist David Straitjacket getting everyone on the edge of their seats, and musicians Macka B, the Phoenix Rose and De Fuego capturing plenty of imagination with their unique music.

There’s also a Celebrity quiz and a chance to meet your favourite experts in one-to-one sessions, so look out for further info at the show website www.london.vegfest.co.uk
