A couple of weeks ago I flew from Perth to Sydney for some work meetings, and had some time to explore the city a little. I last went for my 17th birthday, nearly six years ago (oh gosh I feel old...), and as I did most of the typical touristy things last time, I wanted to go to some different places. I turned to Reddit, and they suggested the Chinese Friendship Gardens near Darling Harbour. I strolled down on Tuesday morning from my hotel, Shangri-La Sydney, which took about half an hour, and paid my $6 to get in.
Wow. It was like a haven of this busy bustling city, a beautiful secret garden that made you feel as though you're in another world. It's hard to put it into words with the little time I have on this library wifi, so I think I'll show you in photos just how beautiful it is...
Watch this space - I have a couple more Sydney posts coming up in the next few days!
