Vita Coco kindly invited me down to their newest product launch. Their latest project involves promoting a healthier alternative drink aimed at kids to keep them hydrated.
Two flavours have been developed for Vita Coco Kids to cater to the European and UK market. The Apple and blackcurrant, mango and pineapple flavours. Each pouch is only 40 calories, that’s just half of a banana with 9g of sugar. The sugars are from the natural sweetness of the coconut and grapes.
The drinks come in a box of 4 for £2.99 and are school complaint approved has a low GI number. The packaging used helps keep the freshness of the product to seal all the goodness without adding any preservatives. Which is why drinking a Vita Coco product is like sticking a straw in a coconut.
Here is a useful table of how the product compares to other leading drinks.
