Savor a delicious French-Canadian style Easter brunch at this island staple before it’s gone. Chez L’Épicier will close its doors on April 27 as husband-and-wife team Laurent Godbout and Véronique Deneault prepare to travel across their country in a remodeled Airstream. The meal starts out with a handful of amuse bouche bites, such as herbed deviled eggs, whipped ricotta macarons, and a vegetable tartine, all of which beg to be paired with a glass of rosé. Appetizers include chilled pea soup with crab and mint oil, a blue cheese puff pastry giant ravioli, and salmon carpaccio. The main courses range from light to indulgent: confit fennel and mini zucchini over creamy polenta makes for a satisfying vegetarian option, and traditionalists will swoon over the rosemary-breaded rack of lamb. As always at Chez L’Épicier, desserts are a standout. Select from a lemon crème brûlée with madeleines, chocolate doughnuts, or a raspberry iced nougat with an extra-large French macaron, and take in every last bite of chef Goudbout’s cooking.

And, it also marks the beginning of a collaboration with chef Kenny Tang, a dim-sum expert who has cooked for Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama as well as Chinese President Xi Jinping. The brunch will introduce Tang’s dim-sum specialties, such as scallop dumplings, lobster tail spring rolls, and edamame truffle potstickers, to complement plates like Chinese chicken and waffles with maple sriracha glaze, donuts with chrysanthemum honey and powdered sugar, and Mongolian beef and eggs. Bottomless mandarin mimosas top off the culinary journey.

For dinner, venture from your regular order and go for a grilled and porcini mushroom-dusted Colorado lamb loin, accompanied by pea barely risotto and an organic mushroom black truffle escabeche. Or try the pan-seared black grouper with charred vegetable couscous and saffron nage. Regardless of which direction you veer in, count on executive chef Rolando Anoceto’s ability to churn out consistently stellar plates.
