To celebrate the 30th anniversary of adidas Equipment, the German sportswear brand is calling on collaborative partners from its Consortium network and allowing them to reimagine four different silhouettes. Solebox is one of the lucky associates chosen to join the commemorative project and work on a never-before-released Three Stripes prototype.
This week we get an early look at Solebox’s entry into the 30th anniversary EQT series, as we see a silhouette originally referred to as the Racer done up with aged materials and translucent panels that draw from vintage racing suits, more specifically, the equipment of a Gran Prix racer. The collaboration finds a see-through, grid-patterned upper adorned with yellow overlays, while adidas’ classic EQT tooling resides below. An exposed foam tongue is implemented to further adhere to the vintage theme, as subtle hits of red provide pops of color on the lace ornament and heel tab.
According to Aljoscha Kondratiew of Solebox, adidas is launching four silhouettes for the EQT anniversary, including the retailer’s previously-unreleased prototype. This is all we have on the impending collab for now, but be sure to check back here for additional details in the near future. In the meantime, take advantage of our top picks from the adidas outlet here.
