As many women know, it’s very tough to trust someone other than yourself with your makeup. Almost every girl I know has at least one horror story of the time she got her makeup done at a friends wedding or department store counter, only to end up washing it all off and start all over again. I, myself, have had a few of those experiences, but it did not stop me from trying to find the perfect place for professional makeup.
I finally found my perfect place, a fabulously chic pink makeup lounge nestled in the heart of West Hollywood called Blushington. I was quickly convinced this was my new spot after speaking with founder Stephi Maron, and hearing her story of creating this beauty business. Like myself, Stephi came up with this idea after realizing how few places offered reliable makeup services for multiple occasions.
Stephi’s vision and answer to women’s makeup woes came to life with her first location in West Hollywood (she has since opened up two more, one in Newport Beach and the other in Dallas.) Blushington is a bright, cheerful, and super feminine lounge where customers can choose from an array of beauty services (and hopefully pick up a tip or two along the way from the talented artists!) The lounge also sells the products used, so you can achieve the look at on your own. While such a luxury is typically seen as a limited one, Stephi hoped her clients would embrace this practical pampering for their everyday lifestyles, and it worked. Some clients come in every day before work, and with their affordable pricing, it only makes sense to put your best face forward. Every day.
