Capital is essential for the growth progress and development of societies. Despite plentiful resources , not all societies can use them for value / wealth creation due to several challenges. Same applies to Africa as well. Public debt as a share of GDP reached an average of 56% in sub-Saharan Africa in 2022 . If these core pain points are not addressed, no matter how much efforts you put, they shall not lead anywhere.
Hence at the recently concluded India Africa Conclave , our interactions with the Vice Presidents, Deputy Prime Minister's, Ministers, Diplomats, Ambassadors of almost 45 African nations, were centred around extending help for the following.
- Refinancing of the current debt of each country against sovereign bonds/central bank guarantees.
- Financing of fiscal deficit.
- Financing Infrastructure & Industrial Projects across all sectors in private or public partnerships ranging within ticket sizes of 10 Mn USD to 5 Bn USD and more.
- Some countries are under sanctions as per the OFAC list of US Treasury. But sanctions do not restrict supporting life. So we are funding countries with sanctions too.
- Trade finance and MSME finance.
- Venture Capital Funds for StartUp Finance.
