- The God separated a spirit from Himself and fashioned it into Beauty. He showered upon her all the blessings of gracefulness and kindness. He gave her the cup of happiness and said, “Drink not from this cup unless you forget the past and the future, for happiness is naught but the moment.” And He also gave her a cup of sorrow and said, “Drink from this cup and you will understand the meaning of the fleeting instants of the joy of life, for sorrow ever abounds.”
- And the God bestowed upon her a love that would desert her forever upon her first sigh of earthly satisfaction, and a sweetness that would vanish with her first awareness of flattery.
- And He gave her wisdom from heaven to lead to the all-righteous path, and placed in the depth of her heart and eye that sees the unseen, and created in her an affection and goodness toward all things. He dressed her with raiment of hopes spun by the angels of heaven from the sinews of the rainbow. And He cloaked her in the shadow of confusion, which is the dawn of life and light.
- Then the God took consuming fire from the furnace of anger, and searing wind from the desert of ignorance, and sharp- cutting sands from the shore of selfishness, and coarse earth from under the feet of ages, and combined them all and fashioned Man. He gave to Man a blind power that rages and drives him into a madness which extinguishes only before gratification of desire, and placed life in him which is the spectre of death.
- And the god laughed and cried. He felt an overwhelming love and pity for Man, and sheltered him beneath His guidance.
- And then He made them fall in love so that they could have A Tear & A Smile.
Dare To Have A Tear & A Smile
- The saying 'If you love somebody, let them go, for if they return, they were always yours. If they don't, they never were.' can sound counterintuitive at first. It also can be very confusing to understand.
- Why not hold onto them if you love them?
- Isn’t love supposed to be fighting for that person no matter what?
- Through the fights, the struggles, and the pain, shouldn’t we keep trying to keep the relationship going?
- The true meaning of loving someone and letting them go starts with being selfless, not selfish. You may have a partner that wants to focus on finding themselves and cannot commit to a partnership right now. Ultimately, it may not be your fault.
- Yes, you can definitely keep fighting and trying over and over again to be together. But, if you are both causing each other more pain than happiness, maybe it is time to let them go. Let that person grow individually in order to become a better partner, which may be for you or the next person.
- When you let go of someone you love, it will hurt. It will hurt so much that you may even want to rush back and try to “fix things.” But, don’t. Let them go. Let them free. Because if you let them grow and instead of forcing them to stay in a relationship, that is love. Love is putting their needs before yours, because at the end of the day, you both want to be happy, even if it means not being together
- It takes time to get over ending your relationship. It also gives you the chance to fall in love with yourself as a person first for the next partner you encounter. The universe and fate can always bring two souls back together. Take this time to really focus on yourself and grow as a person to love better.
- People change. Your relationship may not be the same relationship, and you both may not be the same people over time.
- If it’s real love, then let it breathe. Let them be free as a person, and if they come back to you, then that’s how you know it’s always been real. This is what you call “freedom love” in order to let them go and be free—it’s coming from love and never hate or pity.

A tear to purify my heart and give me understanding
Of life's secrets and hidden things.
A smile to draw me nigh to the sons of my kind and
To be a symbol of my glorification of the gods.
A tear to unite me with those of broken heart;
A smile to be a sign of my joy in existence.
I would rather that I died in yearning and longing than that I live Weary and despairing.
I want the hunger for love and beauty to be in the
Depths of my spirit, for I have seen those who are
Satisfied the most wretched of people.
I have heard the sigh of those in yearning and Longing, and it is sweeter than the sweetest melody.
With evening's coming the flower folds her petals
And sleeps, embracing her longing.
At morning's approach she opens her lips to meet
The sun's kiss.
The life of a flower is longing and fulfilment.
A tear and a smile.
The waters of the sea become vapor and rise and come
Together and area cloud.
And the cloud floats above the hills and valleys
Until it meets the gentle breeze, then falls weeping
To the fields and joins with brooks and rivers to Return to the sea, its home.
The life of clouds is a parting and a meeting.
A tear and a smile.
And so does the spirit become separated from
The greater spirit to move in the world of matter
And pass as a cloud over the mountain of sorrow
And the plains of joy to meet the breeze of death
And return whence it came.
