Awards season has been in full swing, and coming in the aftermath of the Toronto International Film Festival and Venice Film Festival was the biggest night of the year for television" the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards. Making up for the absence of an official host was a star-studded line up of small-screen characters dressed to the nines. As you might have guessed, the red carpet was nothing short of extravagant, with outfits featuring all manner of ruffles, sequins, feathers, embroideries and embellishments.
