Be Dazzled by Graff’s Latest Bridal Campaign
Graff's latest Bridal Campaign is nothing short of breathtaking given its current selection of bridal jewellery.
Choosing an engagement ring and wedding band is not like selecting any other piece of jewellery. Much like choosing your significant other, it is a careful decision that will be everlasting and particularly meaningful. For the bride, it is a dream come true to be graced in the brilliance of fabulous jewels on her big day and the love of a lifetime should be celebrated in the most opulent way. Graff has honored this sentiment by launching its latest #FallInLoveWithGraff bridal campaign featuring the finest diamonds in a series of stunning designs that have been perfected by the House since 1960.
Presenting a range of styles from signature wedding bands and engagement rings to scintillating tiaras, necklaces, earrings and bracelets, Graff’s latest campaign captures the blissful glow of a bride as she starts a new chapter with her one and only. Each diamond is hand-picked by a member of the Graff family and handcrafted by experienced artisans in Graff’s London workshop. Aside from classic designs, novelties such as the Threads and Bow collections are also featured, giving the classic bridal look a feminine touch with British flair.

The ancient romans believed that the vein running through the fourth finger of the left hand led directly to the heart and wore a ring over this ‘vena amoris’, which is Latin for ‘the vein of love,’ to symbolize their commitment. Graff’s latest campaign presents seven exclusive engagement ring settings that are each inspired by legendary diamonds passed through the House and Mr. Laurence Graff OBE’s passion for diamonds, providing plenty of choice for the modern couple. From the Promise, Flame, Icon, Constellation, Paragon and Legacy settings that pay tribute to history-making diamonds, to the Laurence Graff Signature setting honouring the diamantaire’s passion for the world’s finest diamonds, every distinctive engagement setting embodies Graff’s signature stone-led craftsmanship. Graff’s craftsmen take many years to hone their ability in order to enhance and complement the innate beauty of a stone, allowing every ring to cradle a diamond’s unique silhouette, with maximum amount of light to reflect and amplify its natural brilliance.

To build on its role as a guardian of love, Graff is also pleased to delight couples with a special surprise - from now until the end of June, couples will be able to enjoy a complimentary dining voucher from a partnering world-acclaimed restaurants upon purchase of a pair of Graff wedding bands and a classic solitaire white diamond ring, savouring the delectable touch of their Graff experience.

Chanel Reimagines Tweed in its New Jewellery Collection
To say Chanel has turned to its signature tweed for its Haute Couture 2020 collection wouldn’t be alarming. The house has been utilising the Scottish woolen cloth since the 1930s when Chanel discovered the functionality and beauty in menswear at the time and adopted it for women’s clothing. What is new is taking the brand’s iconic tweed blazers lined with chain detailing as its inspiration for its first ever High Jewellery presentation. The strong association to the jacket has now been transformed into a 45-piece jewellery iteration of the fabric. Named Tweed de Chanel, the collection sees exceptional pieces conceived to express the distinctive characteristic of tweed – the intricate interwoven structure and depth and richness of the material. Articulated using diamonds, pearls and sapphires that are layered and intertwined, Chanel has masterfully created textural necklaces, earrings, cuffs, brooches, rings and more.

Louis Vuitton acquires world’s second largest uncut diamond
Louis Vuitton just scooped up the second largest diamond ever discovered. The Sewelô, which translates to ‘rare find’ in Setswana (one of the native languages of Botswana – where the stone was first discovered). And a rare find it is indeed. The Botswanian diamond was unearthed in April 2019 and weighs 1,758 carats (coming in second place as the largest diamond, behind the Cullinan Diamond which weighs 3,106.75 carats). Louis Vuitton has not disclosed the exact cost of the purchase so far, but Chief Executive Michael Burke has stated that it was in the “millions”, and that “some of my competitors, I believe, will be surprised”.
Now that the stone is in the hands of the French luxury house, the brand will be partnering with diamond manufacturer HB from Antwerp. HB will be responsible for cutting and polishing the rough that will be featured in upcoming Louis Vuitton high jewellery collections. So far, the tennis ball-sized gem has been described as near gem of variable quality; “is it D or D-flawless, and how big is the flawless part? I don’t know. [The purchase] took a little bit of guts and trust in our expertise.’, Burke continues to openly admit to the brand’s daring and ambitious acquisition. [inline_related_article article_id="168351"]
The fashion house’s attention has now turned away from its monogrammed leather goods to gearing up to expand their high jewellery presence in the market. Burke explains, “Nobody expects us to put such an emphasis on high jewellery, I think it will spice things up a bit. Wake up the industry”. This doesn’t come as a huge surprise as the Louis Vuitton parent company LVMH has recently acquired jewellery house Tiffany & Co. back in November of last year for US$16.2 billion. LVMH’s plans to dominate high jewellery is certainly well on its way.

Sparkle and shine with Bvlgari’s Fiorever Collection
Created as a tribute to the legendary beauty and rich history of the jeweller’s hometown, Bvlgari’s Fiorever collection brings to dazzling glory a four-petalled wild bloom found on several Roman landmarks and decorating frescoes in the ancient city of Pompeii. The signature motif also draws from Bvlgari’s own heritage, with floral-inspired creations that include its Giardini Italiani high-jewellery collection in 2015 and date as far back as its diamond brooches from the 1920s.
Unveiled last year, the unique design features petals that tilt upward around the central stone in order to tempt the wearer to touch it as they would an actual flower. Fiorever has undergone a further transformation for 2019, thanks to the addition of white and yellow diamonds. A new white- diamond parure consists of a necklace, bracelet and earrings paved in shimmering stones. Also new are extremely lightweight diamond hoop earrings and single-flower pendants on long diamond-studded chains, as well as stackable open bangles with a blossom on each end. [inline_related_article article_id="170726"]
This year’s collection is also the first to feature yellow diamonds, which take pride of place in the centre of the motif as surrounding petals of white-diamond pavé evoke a living bloom. Each stone is exceptional for its fancy vivid hue, round shape and remarkable quality, resulting in limited quantities of the yellow-diamond ring and necklace.

Not content to stop there, Bulgari has also introduced a high-jewellery collection for Fiorever. Each one-of- a-kind masterpiece is designed to capture the fleeting beauty of a wild bloom in a form that will last forever – or, in the words of Bulgari, “a jewel as bold and enduring as The Eternal City itself”.
