Louis Vuitton launches Singapore online store

The future of luxury is online. Joining the digital frontier of high-end shopping is Louis Vuitton with the launch of its e-commerce store in Singapore.
Here's what to expect on the site. Shop the newest ready-to-wear collections across both categories for men and women. The range is vast, and includes leather goods, watches and jewellery, fragrances as well as luggages. You can even literally put your personal stamp on them through customisation services for selected items. Like all good e-commerce platforms, the site does digital right by offering a holistic shopping experience that includes suggested complementary items for every product listed and a thorough after care guide.
Three delivery options are available for residents of Singapore. Select from complimentary premium or express delivery; the former ships the items to you before 12pm while the latter is available in four timeslots. Both are carried out via the ceremonial butler-style 'White Glove Service' where a man decked in a suit, complete with white gloves, delivers the package to your doorstep. This gives the buyer a sense of exclusivity that the online shopping experience may lack.
While the e-commerce site has only just launched in Singapore, it was first kicked off in France in 2005 before it begun its overseas expansions over the decades.

#PrestigeItBags with Rachel Allison

Rachel Allison, the delightful daughter of fashion designer Sally Koeswanto, models the fall/winter it bags for Prestige.
Rachel Allison arrives at Alila SCBD with her glamorous fashion designer mom Sally Koeswanto. They’re both wearing denim shorts with sneakers, looking more like sisters than mother and daughter.
Sally is proud that Prestige has invited her little girl, who is about to turn 18, to model the fall/winter it bags from some of our favourite brands: Coach, Dior, Fendi, Hermès, Lanvin, Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, Off White, Prada, Simon Miller and Valentino.
Rachel seems shy at first under the lights. But with mom on hand to give her confidence she become more relaxed as the shoot goes on, dealing assuredly with everything from the classy Louis Vuitton Mini Dauphine to the eye-catching Off White Jitney 2.8 Cash Inside. Shoot done, Rachel sits down for a chat. Excerpts:

How do you feel about bags?
I love them. I’m more of a bag person than a shoe person. I love to mix and match my outfits according to my bags. It’s a really fun way to spice up the way you dress and look on a daily basis.
I like bags that are small and practical. Currently, I’m in love with the Dior Saddle because of its unique and fun shape. In spite of its uncommon shape, I find it quite practical because the bag is big enough to take a lot of stuff.
There’s also the classic Chanel bag, because it’s really timeless and beautiful. You can wear it to every occasion and it looks perfect on everyone.

FENDI MINI BAGUETTE IN PURPLE SEQUIN BAG; TOP FENDI[/caption]
Do you remember your first designer bag?
I do! It was a Burberry, from the Kids collection. I’m not really sure what the occasion was, but as far as I can remember I got it when I was in second grade. It’s a cute little handbag. I still have it. It’s my precious Holy Grail bag.
[gallery ids="165968,165969,165967"]
What are your favorite labels?
It has to be Dior to start with. I love the variety, from classic and feminine to playful. Especially since Maria Grazia Chiuri took over as Creative Director, there’s a touch of femininity on every design.

LOUIS VUITTON MINI DAUPHINE BAG, JACKET AND DRESS LOUIS VUITTON[/caption]
Who taught you about style?
Definitely my mother! Ever since I was a kid I looked at how she dressed and styled herself. Until now, she’s my biggest inspiration. Now I’m finding my own style. Both of us may look alike, but we have different tastes. My mother’s style is daring and edgy, while I’m more casual and feminine. We complement each other’s styles and that makes us look cool together.
You just graduated from high school. What’s next?
I’m going to study for a degree in International Political Economy at City, University of London. There’s no such thing as a perfect world while a lot of issues, such as poverty, racial discrimination and religious tolerance, remain unresolved. But we all know that there’s a lot of potential to move forward and solve social problems. I enjoy watching documentaries on social issues on Netflix and YouTube, and I look forward to learning more about them at university.

DIOR MEDIUM SADDLE BAG IN DENIM BLUE EMBOSSED GRAINED CALFSKIN BAG; TOP, JEWELLERY, AND SHOES DIOR[/caption]
You just appeared in Jaz’s “Katakan” music video. Tell us about it.
I got a message through Instagram from a music producer asking me if I would like to be a model in the Jaz’s next video. I thought, why not? I’d never been in a music video or done any acting before. The experience was total fun. I learned a lot and I’m really grateful to have been part of it.
What do you do in your free time?
Nothing much at the moment. As the time to go to England to study approaches, I like spending time at home with my family and our dogs. This quality time with the people I care about the most is important to me. It’s vital to treasure these moments.
On the other hand, when I get the chance I love to travel and immerse myself in the culture and history of the countries I visit. It’s all about widening your perspectives on life.

Louis Vuitton Is Designing the Trophy Case for This Year’s ‘League of Legends’ World Championships
Asia’s Hottest New Supermodel, Tang He, Struts Her Stuff at Chungking Mansions

"I never thought I’d be a model because when I was young, I never thought I’d grow to be this tall, but I did think I wanted to be an actress or a singer,” says Tang He, who was discovered at a performing-arts school in her hometown in Jilin province, China.
Since being signed to Elite in Shanghai almost three years ago, the 18-year-old is fast becoming one of fashion’s most talked-about faces. This season she opened Miu Miu’s resort show and joined what she calls “my Miu Miu family”, featuring in the brand’s autumn/winter advertising campaign. “It’s my first international campaign,” He says, “and I’m very excited and very happy. It makes me feel like the last couple of years have been worth it.”
Indeed, it’s been a very fast rise to the top for the Chinese teen. Her first show outside her home country was for Tom Ford. “It’s a show that so many models wanted to be in and I got it on my first try, so I’m very grateful,” she says. “I love modelling. It gives me the chance to wear so many beautiful clothes and I’m so grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given.”
Besides Miu Miu and Tom Ford, He can now be seen in most high-profile shows, appearing at Valentino and Fendi haute couture just this season. And it’s clear after working with her on just one shoot that, despite her natural talent, He is wholly dedicated to her craft. “I don’t mind posing more,” she tells us. “Make sure you tell me what you want me to do if I’m not delivering, so we can get the shot. I really don’t mind.”
Of course, making it as a model on the international stage is not without its share of criticism and hardship. When she signed to Next, her global agency, brands told He she had to slim down in order to walk in the European collections and haute couture shows. She did it, she got the jobs and somehow kept her youthful spirit.
“I think I’m a bit too slim now,” she says, when asked about her weight. “I don’t think you need to be super-skinny to be a model, to be honest. As long as you can fit into the clothes and your body is healthy, that’s all you really need. I want to put a bit of weight back on so we have to eat some good food for lunch later.”
And with that, we bring He to a bakery between shots, pointing out our favourite local sweet buns, and she squeals with the glee of a happy teenager.
“I’d like to try that one,” she says, pointing to a sugary bun stuffed with shredded coconut. As she eats in the taxi on our way to the next location, still decked out in Loewe, Dior and Jimmy Choos, she smiles and says, “There’s probably nothing better in the world than a sugary bun, don’t you think?”
