K11 x MOCA Unveil Face Masks Designed by Virgil Abloh, Alex Israel and More
It's not exactly hot news that wearing a face mask can help prevent the spread of Covid-19.
In light of this, the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) has partnered with K11 to release nine limited-edition masks in Hong Kong and across Asia. The masks are designed by globally renowned artists and designers including Virgil Abloh, Alex Israel, Barbara Kruger, Yoko Ono, Hank Willis Thomas, and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.

The stylish collection of masks are all washable, reusable, and consists of two layers of fabric, as well as a filter pocket on the inside for extra protection.

All of the face masks are handmade by Citizens of Humanity in Los Angeles, and vary in materials depending on the design. However, one should take note that they only serve as fashion accessories, and should not be a replacement for medical grade protective gear such as a surgical or N95 mask.

The mask designs will be showcased at the Gold Ball inside K11 Musea, and are now available via the K11 online shop for $320 each, while the full collection of all nine masks is selling for HK$2,880.

A Closer Look at Virgil Abloh’s Off-White Nike Jordans IV for Women
After offering a sneak preview in Paris and Chicago recently, Nike revealed Virgil Abloh‘s latest Air Jordan creation for women.
The new Virgil Abloh Women’s Air Jordan IV x Off-White has been designed in a full-grain cream leather, with exposed foam, grid mesh, and clear textile details -- adding a contemporary edge to the classic Nike silhouette. “AIR” is printed above the yellow tinted outsole in the familiar bold text graphics of the Off-White brand, not to mention the emblematic signature Off-White zip tie for the finishing touch.
The sneakers first debuted on the runway of Off-White's FW20 show in Paris. While a signed pair was auctioned for a final bid of approximately HK$1.43 million (US$185,000), which was donated to charitable causes.
Now, fans of Off-White and Nike collaborations can get their hands on the women’s Air Jordan IV x Off-White themselves. The sneakers have just made it on the market and are priced at approximately HK$1,550 (US$200) on SNKRS, and at retail stores across Asia, North America and Europe.
