2020 Christmas Wish Lists: Martaâs Picks
I personally find it quite difficult to figure out what I actually want for Christmas. In fact, I tend to focus too much on what I need, rather than what I want, and itâs not until the last second that I usually come up with ideas. But not this year. 2020 has been one hell of a year and Iâve made it my mission to dream big. Iâve searched everywhere, obviously from the comfort of my house, to come up with a list of items that are worthy of a 2020 Christmas Wish List.
Fornasetti
Being obsessed with interior design and contemporary art, I consider Fornasetti, helmed by renowned Italian artist Piero Fornasetti, a mecca for inimitable objects that go beyond their function. The new Metafisica Otto scented candle will be a great addition to my home.
Rodarte
I donât think thereâs anything quite as exciting as sequin embroidery, and this Rodarte floral double- breasted blazer is the perfect statement piece for just about any celebration.
Dior
I donât think I can say it loudly enough: I canât wait to travel again. Also, I want to do it with a DiorTravel Vanity Case embroidered with the blue Toile de Jouy motif.
ChloĂŠ
While I don't really need a specific reason to want an effortlessly chic ChloĂŠ Faye, the small shoulder bag in smooth and suede calfskin comes in pastel mint green, which is the unofficial colour of the year and a personal favourite.
Shinola
2020 was a great year for my vinyl collection and itâs about time I put my hands on the handcrafted rose gold Shinola Runwell turntable.
Bottega Veneta
Iâve been thinking about this egg yolk orange Bottega Veneta teddy shearling coat ever since I first saw it on the runway a few months ago. Thereâs no question that it will be a timeless addition to my winter wardrobe and a must in my 2020 Christmas wish list.
Delfina Delettrez
Iâm all on board with the eye mania trend and Iâve been dreaming to wear this Delfina Delettrez 18kt champagne gold âEyes on meâ diamond and sapphire earring.

Bottega Veneta Launches Virtual Creatives Platform, Bottega Residency
Amid the trying times right now, we all need a little strength, positivity and kindness more than ever. And Italian luxury brand Bottega Veneta is aiming to do just that with the launch of a new Virtual Residency programme.
This multi-platform plan will see a muse, collaborator or talent take over the newly-created mini-site showing off works that inspire them, be it film, music or art. On weekends, the platform will host cooking segments from chefs and/or host live music performances with a Sunday movie night thrown into the mix.

The Miniature Bags We Are Currently Coveting
Whether you like it or not, the mini bag trend is here to stay. Season after season, designers have introduced new colourways and silhouettes that leave us wanting more. While we know that these bags are not made for practicality, there is no denying their dainty charm. So in no particular order, here are some of our favorite silhouettes that we are currently coveting and that will pair well with any outfit choice.Â
Â
Louis Vuitton
Louis Vuitton has recently unveiled two new wrist bags for SS20. The miniature bags dubbed the âMini Monogrammed Bumbagâ and âPalmsprings Wrist Bagâ boasts Louis Vuittonâs iconic signature monogram print. Black leather straps are complemented with gold-tone detailing accent hardware. Bottega Veneta
With Daniel Lee as the Creative Director of Bottega Veneta, he has amassed a strong following which includes the likes of Rihanna and Rosie Huntington-Whitely. His work also spawned the creation of the Instagram account, @NewBottega. So rounding out our top three, is Bottega Venetaâs âThe Pouch 20â. The bag features a magnetic frame engulfed in handwoven leather while a slim leather shoulder strap allows the bag to be carried cross-body. âThe Pouch 20â arrives in various colourways and the price ranges from HK$9,700 to HK$12,850.Â

Hermès
You'll have a harder time finding the next bag, but once you get, you won't regret it. The Hermès Kelly is one of the world's most coveted bag and if you didn't know, the bag was originally dubbed the âSac Ă DĂŠpĂŞchesâ but was later renamed after actress Grace Kelly in 1977. If you're searching for this bag, you will have to call your local Hermès shop to try to arrrange one.

With the holiday season just around the corner, Fendi's 'Baguette Mini' from Nicki Minaj's 'Fendi Prints On' collection is the perfect festive option. The bag sees a unique mirror-effect arriving in silver leather detailing while it's equipped with detachable shoulder straps which allows it to be worn on the shoulder or cross-body. Completing the bag is Fendi's iconic 'FF' logo adorned in silver sequins. Whether you wear it for a festive party or just for a night out, the bag will set you back HK$20,200.

Â
To reiterate, we know these bags are not practical but they are pretty and cute. There's no right or wrong way to carry a mini bag, it's all about owning the look, experimenting, and trying out different ways to rock them. One would even say that it's therapeutic and see it as a way of "Marie Kondo-ing" your daily life.
