Vacation Staples + Perfect Pieces to Pack for Your Next Trip

Happy Sunday everyone! I’m excited to share yet another post from Positano with you guys, and it is all about my travel essentials.  Since it was my first time visiting Positano, and Amalfi Coast in general, I knew there was going to be a lot of walking and exploring to do. So comfort was definitely...

Casual in Paris

Happy weekend everyone! I just wanted to say a quick hello and share one of the more casual looks I wore during Paris Fashion Week, which ended up being absolutely perfect for wondering around rainy Paris! Comprised entirely of all my current favorites, I really couldn’t say which one of the pieces I am sporting...

Tulum Red

Though I’ve been back in LA for almost a week now, and for the most part, have gotten back into the swing of things ( crazy schedule and super early mornings included ), I still can’t completely shake off the vacation mode! I can’t help it, I miss our sun-filled adventures! And since I was feeling particularly nostalgic today,...

Bundle Baby in Big Sur

Third stop on our annual road trip was Big Sur. Though we didn’t initially plan on going there, we got up one morning and developed a sudden craving for the yummiest chocolate peanut butter dessert we had at the Post Ranch Inn restaurant last time we were in Big Sur, and decided that it was...

Cozy in Carmel by the Sea

Second stop on our annual family road trip was the beautiful town of Carmel by the Sea! Though we’ve been here a few times before, it never fails to impress us in some new way, and always appears just as picturesque and charming as ever! We started off by exploring the place a bit, visiting...

NYFW Mini Moment

During the first few days of NYFW the temperatures were in the 90s, and the humidity level was through the roof! I’m talking all you want to do is put on your bathing suit and take a dip in a nice cool pool kinda weather! But alas, it was fashion week and since wearing swimwear...

a week in review

So much has happened in the past week, I hardly know where to start. NYC is now my home away from home. The first week and a half working the new job is officially under the belt, last week spent at the home office in NYC, and this week the pleasure of working from home. Quite honestly, I don’t know which I prefer. The flashing lights, exciting nights, and endless new adventures of the city will always make me feel alive. But then again, being able to work in my PJ’s isn’t bad either… In review, I’m grateful for the opportunity to have the best of both worlds for the time being, and plan to spend a great deal of the new year practicing appreciation for all of the many blessings in life – especially the people who have truly impacted me in so many beautiful ways. photography:KUNDAN KUMAR | camera:CANNON 5D MARK III | white denim c/o:PARKER SMITH | kicks:ADIDAS ORIGINALS | hair extensions c/o:IRRESISTIBLE ME | iphone case c/o:GMYLE | rosegold bar ring c/o:STAR HARVEST …

The elephant keeps walking as the dogs keep barking. Something they don’t teach you in business class. This adage from India came from my partner in crime, and I will continue to keep the words in heart. With the growth of success, comes an onslaught of negativity. And no, I’m not talking about constructive criticism that helps you grow. I’m talking about the truly nasty, nonfactual, and unprofessional based nagging and manipulation of situations with seemingly no purpose or cause. You’ve probably worked with a few such people in your life, and if you continue to grow in a path of success, you can probably expect a lot more. While the spirit’s first reaction may be to reflect the attitude, the best advise I’ve received: The elephant keeps walking as the dogs keep barking. The fact of the matter is, you’ll never be able to train the dogs. Instead, an elephant walks steadily through the streets, seemingly unaffected by the barking around them. Focus on your goals and how to achieve them. The rest around you, is just noise fading away. photography:KUNDAN …

athletic lounge

Lazy in athletic wear a contradiction?… nah. Ok but for real, the gym is calling my name. Returned from Las Vegas last night, and my liver is begging for a cleanse. Goals for the day: leave work on time – get my sweat game on. In other news, had a great show at WWDMagic, and some of my favorite shoes are already sold out for next Spring! Had the opportunity to meet some key blogging influencers at the convention. It’s really incredible the amount of support in the fashion community. Whether people are doing it for a hobby or career, I’ve yet to be welcomed with anything but open arms and freely shared advise and encouragement. A special thanks to Linh Nguyen from Linhwinn for taking a chunk of time sharing her experience on such a personal level. Her advise: be personal, have some fun, and always stay true to yourself. In that same spirit, I’ve recently connected with a new friend, Soraya who has just launched her very first blog The La La Mode. She’s got a …

you and the moon

Worlds colliding this week with preparation for FFaNY and WWDMagic, in addition to having family in town for the next couple of days. Yet again, finding myself wishing there were a few extra hours in each day, but then – that’s better than wishing them away. The past few months have brought with them many changes, and I find my heart to be as restless as the world around me. On the brink of a breakthrough, or on the edge of devastation – some part of me finds pleasure in the conflict. It’s like being a speck caught in a whirlwind – and as unsettling as that might sound, the adrenaline rush is totally worth the ride. Carrying over the winds into this week’s wardrobe, I found myself playing a lot with combining sport elements into a casual-tailored blend. Those mornings when you find just the right combo and think… “yes. heck yes. today is going to be a killer day…” yeah, it was like that. photography:KUNDAN KUMAR | camera:CANNON 5D MARK III | kimono:FOREVER21 | shoes c/o:CLARKS  |  double bar cuff c/o:ROCKSBOX (use code:DAYINMYDREAMSXOXO for a free …
